MS. Halm is currently an Associate Program Officer at the Technology and Innovation Support Centre (TISC) Development Section at the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) in Geneva, Switzerland.
She has over 18 years’ experience in the intellectual property field with extensive experience in areas such as intellectual property management, valuation and commercialization, and technology transfer, with organisations such as the African Regional Intellectual Property Organisation (ARIPO) and the European Union as well as in the private sector.
She is currently doing her doctoral degree (PhD) at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa where she is researching into the legal protection of traditional medical knowledge in the South African pharmaceutical innovation context.
Ms. Halm received her bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B), from the University of Kent atCanterbury and a master’s degree Intellectual Property law from the Max Planck Institute in Munich, Germany.
